MEET THE DOCTORS
Dr. Deidra Bird Kokel
Dr. Deidra Bird Kokel, a native of Petersburg, Va., shows her caring side in and out of the dental office. She is an active participant in the Donated Dental and the Tree of Life Dental programs. During Dental Health Month (February), she gives free cavity screenings to students at a local elementary school. She sponsors the Loudoun County Science Fair, many high school after-prom parties, and a multitude of organizations ranging from the Loudoun Chorale and Loudoun Arts Council to Loudoun Interfaith Relief and the Good Shepherd Alliance.
She graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University after completing her undergraduate requirements at an accelerated pace, then the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. She completed her residency in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
Dr. Kokel has been practicing since 1992. She keeps on top of the most advanced dental practices through continuing education courses, including laser proficiency, aesthetics, sleep dentistry, full-mouth reconstruction and direct restoration.
Dr. Josef Wollmann
Dr. Josef Wollmann joined Deidra Kokel’s Office in August of 2017 and brings a versatile skill set to our growing practice by using the most advanced techniques in dentistry combined with a personal touch that makes patients feel like they are being cared for by a friend rather than being treated like a patient. He is well versed in oral surgery which includes extractions and implant surgery, root canals, Invisalign, as well as, general family dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
He has been recognized by the international dental implant association for his missions work to the Dominican Republic. Dr. Wollmann grew up in California and attended the University of California Irvine and went on to receive his doctorate at Loma Linda School of Dentistry, graduating top of his class. Currently Dr Wollman is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and served as a board member for the Academy of General Dentistry in Rio Grande Valley. He is a current board member of Heal International Medical Missions.
He loves what he does and well exceeds over 150 hours of continuing education a year. In his free time, Dr. Wollmann loves spending time with his wife and three children.
